The Baskets for Boomie program was started in September of 2015 and was created to help underprivileged children in Long Island and Queens, New York by providing them the tools they need to succeed. This includes but is not limited to; school supplies, after school sports, food, clothes, and extra curricular activities. Imperfectly Perfect has been working with teachers, social workers and PTA members to help identify which children within the community need help.
As this program progresses, Imperfectly Perfect hopes to expand and help children all over New York with the long term goal of opening up a basketball camp for children to come to free of charge.
This program was created in loving memory of Oluwabunmi Daniel Apara, “Boomie”.
